Faith Working Through Love

Dear Friends,

We are all familiar with the Bible verse that is perhaps the strongest message about God’s love  - John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God’s love for us knows no bounds! How are we doing in terms of sharing that love with others?

It can be tough to show love for other people all the time. People make their own choices for their attitudes and behaviors, and sometimes may act in ways that make loving them very, very difficult. In an earlier Shine Through message I shared with you God’s message that you are not responsible for others’ actions… but you are responsible for your own actions. That realization is germane to this week’s topic, too.

By spending time with God’s Word, we become ever more confident in His love for us, an unwavering belief that makes it easier for us to act toward others in loving ways, even when they may not. As believers, we have the responsibility to live out our faith through the things that we say and do when we interact with our colleagues, clients, friends and family.

When you are secure in your faith that God loves you, you don’t feel hamstrung by the trials and tribulations of the world. You know with certainty that you are loved no matter what. Now, that’s not a “free pass” to skate through your life without a care or responsibility; rather, it’s a point of strength from which you can overcome challenges, deal with difficult people, and stay firmly on course to share God’s word with your clients.

The only way to serve someone else in love, to give love, and to love God is by faith. That means taking God at his Word and responding to what He tells us about how we should serve others. Even when the markets are down and clients’ anxiety is up, remember that He will continually support you in your quest to serve others in love. That’s why it’s so important to spend time with Him on a daily basis, reading and studying His word for the encouragement you need to have a productive, enjoyable day during which you positively impact another person’s life.

How do you share God’s love by putting your faith into action? Tell us your story below and inspire others.

Blessings,

Ron

Thanks Ron for reminding us why we do what we do. The love we have for our Father and for each other is one of the important things that separate a Kingdom Advisor from a secular advisor. It starts with love. Again, thanks!

    Ron,
Thank you for such a strong reminder, that at the end of the day, what is really important is our relationship with God.

It is not enough that we have such a strong relationship (and by relationship, I mean something that we live with each and every moment of the day) but that we share this relationship with others... I believe in the saying, attraction, rather than promotion. I know of no stronger testimony that I can give when I demonstrate my strong faith and love for the Lord. Other people see this, and are attracted to it (watch my feet and not my mouth). Especially during these difficult and trying times we seem to be facing.

May God Be Bless and Be With you, David

Faith, Hope and Love.....the greatest is love.

Someone told me last week the reason why love is the greatest is it is the only one that will remain in eternity. When we are in heaven, we will not need faith as we will see God as He is. We will not need hope, for everything we have ever hoped for will be realized. All that will remain in eternity is love ----that's why it is the greatest.

    Hi Ron,
Thanks for the great reminder that "What goes to God stays with God." God cares so much for us that Jesus is interceding for us at the Father's right hand right now. He who "endured the Cross scorning its shame and has sat down at the right hand of the Father" surely wants to carry our every burden and care.
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow.

I think this is what James meant when he said faith without works is dead being alone. Faith without love that works is dead being alone. If we don't walk in the love of God, our faith is of none effect, it is made void. This is the love of god, that we keep his commandments and they are not grievous.
