Dear Friends,

Life is full of so many choices, some of major importance and some, well, not so much. We spend a lot of time and energy reviewing information and scrutinizing every detail when it comes to decisions like whether or not to buy a house, where to send our children to school, even how to best develop a client’s financial plan. Wouldn’t it be nice to have at least one decision that’s easy to make?

There is! It’s your decision to follow God’s plan.

Please don’t misunderstand me… I’m not saying that what He asks you to choose to do will be easy, or comfortable, or feel really really good all the time. Sometimes, following God’s plan is quite the opposite; we may be ridiculed or face outright outrage. What I am suggesting is that the decision to respond to God’s plan is easy. Of course we want to please the Father! As I’ve noted in earlier messages, man was created to serve Him and in turn receive His abundant blessings.

I believe that, like Nehemiah, the first important step in making this decision to respond to God’s plan for our lives is to pray about what we believe God is asking of us. Are we really hearing His voice, or are our own wants and desires like static interfering with His broadcast to us? Perhaps if you sit still long enough God will make it clear to you that He has placed you in your unique position as a Christian financial advisor for a specific purpose – your “once in a lifetime opportunity” to share His guidance with others in your sphere of influence.
