I Lack Nothing

Dear Friends,

I love the way that the “word of God is living and active…sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12) When I go to scripture, I can be assured that God will use what I read in a new way to penetrate the depths of my thoughts, attitudes, soul, and spirit.  No other book is alive like that, and no other words are inspired like that.

Several years ago, I saw something fresh in the familiar verse, “and my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus,” (Phil. 4:19).  It occurred to me that, not only does God abundantly meet the needs that I have in life, but He also orchestrates the needs themselves according to the richness of His plan for my life.  When a new need arises in my path, I can be assured that the need is there because God saw fit to allow it, and because His rich plan for my life will work out the meeting of that need to His greater glory and for my greater good.

He meets the needs but He also carefully supplies the needs so that I am more and more aware of His sufficiency, power, grace, and glory in my life.

Today, I pray that you see His hand in the way that He supplies the problems within and the solutions to your needs.

Blessings,

Ron
