Jesus in Me

Dear Friends,

Sometimes I have to chuckle at the way that God asks me to “practice what I preach.”  In the video today, I mention that we should all relax, take Jesus into our lives, and allow Him to manifest Himself through us so that others see Him to the glory of God the Father.

Relax…

Well, in the last week, the family dog has lingered on the brink of death after having been hit by a golf cart. Meanwhile, my wife, Judy, tripped in the middle of the night and has a hairline fracture in her heel. She will need to be off of her foot for at least a month. So, this morning, after taking the dog to the vet for the fourth time in as many days, I returned home to clean our house in preparation for our houseguests this weekend. All the while, Kingdom Advisors has two significant events next week – the Coaching meeting and the Champions’ Forum.  I need to continue to prepare for both. Relax…

Take Jesus into our lives…

My spiritual mentor, Dr. Bill Bright, talked about the process of “spiritual breathing.” He said, "Spiritual breathing, like physical breathing is a process of exhaling the impure and inhaling the pure, an exercise in faith that enables you to experience God's love and forgiveness and walk in the Spirit as a way of life. But the average Christian does not understand this concept of spiritual breathing as an exercise of faith and, as a result, lives on a spiritual roller coaster. He/she goes from one emotional experience to another living most of his life as a worldly Christian, controlling his/her own life, frustrated and fruitless." I have been convicted over the last 72 hours of my need to exhale my pride, selfishness, frustration, and controlling nature and inhale the power of the Holy Spirit and the life of Jesus in me. I need to breathe.

So that others see Him to the glory of God the Father…

Isn’t God good to be the One who gets all of the glory? Isn’t it wonderful to know that my life will never even begin to emanate enough glory to mean anything at all in eternity? Only His glory matters, and only His glory will last.  So, whether it’s toilet bowl cleaner, dog medicine, or speaking notes, I can offer them all up as part of the symphony of praise to Him so that He gets the glory. Now that’s freedom… and true relaxation.

Blessings,

Ron
