Dear Friends,

These descriptions of Jesus’ way of life are so compelling to me. I don’t know about you, but I am constantly challenged by the distractions, the hurry, and the anxieties inherent in daily life.

How do we access the power that Jesus had? It says in Romans 8:11, “And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He Who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit Who lives in you.” (NIV) 

How easily we forget that we have immediate access to the very real supernatural power of the Holy Spirit. We can actually live our life in the pattern of Jesus’ life! I am astounded and amazed by that gift and that truth. 

Do you seek God first each day? Do you wake in prayer and in dependence on Him? Do you listen for His voice as you search for wisdom in life’s decisions and challenges? He is there. He is waiting. He is capable. He is powerful. As you wade into life’s mire, first bathe in the cleansing power of your relationship with Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit. 

I pray that you will take God at His “Romans 8:11 word” as you move into whatever challenges and obstacles you face this day and this week.
