God’s Work for You is Meaningful and Unique
Dear Friends,
The last several weeks have provided many opportunities for reflection, gratitude, and renewed purpose for Judy and me. I celebrated a birthday in February, which is always an opportunity to reflect. Our Kingdom Advisors’ conference last month was a remarkable time of reflecting on God’s goodness and grace. And, God is continuing to challenge me to stay true to His call on my life to offer biblical financial wisdom to advisors and to others in specific ways. In summary, I’ve been experiencing a spiritually rich, but sometimes physically tiring season, lately.
There is a verse that Judy keeps quoting. It is from Isaiah 25:1, and it says, “Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You. I will praise Your name, for You have accomplished wonders, plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.” Usually, when she quotes this verse, she also says something like, “Ron, be careful! It is GOD’s plan and it is going to be carried out with HIS perfect faithfulness…you don’t need to figure out how to work it all out.” Aren’t we glad when God uses those closest to us to remind us to let God be God! One of the hardest parts about walking according to God’s calling is surrendering control of our circumstances to Him.
As I mentioned in the video today, God has created each of us uniquely. Also, God has plans for us to live lives of purpose and meaning. And, most importantly, God is the author and engineer of our circumstances. When we surrender our circumstances to Him, the one who carries out His plans “with perfect faithfulness,” we can freely and boldly move into the purposes He has for us, knowing that He will guide, direct, and teach us along His perfect way.
Blessings,
Ron
