Forget and Remember

Dear Friends,

Today, I want to share with you a few excellent “remember” and “forget” scriptures, as an encouragement to you in your walk with the Lord.

REMEMBER:

“But you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and that the Lord your God redeemed you from there; therefore I am commanding you to do this thing. When you reap your harvest in your field and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it; it shall be for the alien, for the orphan, and for the widow, in order that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.” – Deuteronomy 24:18–19

“And they remembered that God was their rock,
and the Most High God their Redeemer.” – Psalm 78:35

Remember these things, O Jacob, and Israel, for you are My servant; I have formed you, you are My servant, O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me.  “I have wiped out your transgressions like a thick cloud and your sins like a heavy mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.” – Isaiah 44:21–22

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “Uncircumcision” by the so-called “Circumcision,” which is performed in the flesh by human hands — remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.” – Ephesians 2:10–12

FORGET

For you will forget your suffering, recalling it only as waters that have flowed by. Your life will be brighter than noonday; its darkness will be like the morning.” – Job 11:16–17

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits” – Psalm 103:2

“Fear not, for you will not be put to shame; and do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced; and you will forget the shame of your youth, and the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more.” – Isaiah 54:4

“Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead” – Philippians 3:13

May today be a day of forgetting and remembering for you.

Blessings,

Ron

Ron, thank you for always reminding us to write kingdom things down. We can be so distracted by the news of the day (stock market, economy, jobs, politics, Greece...)what an opportunity to write down things that remind us of the hope to come in Christ alone and share with our valued clients and others! God is so Good, Luis
